    Weird screen effects
I bought this because I heard it had 1440p 120hz support, I plugged my pc in and it couldn't run at that resolution. That's fine tbh, I don't care about that, the thing that does bother me is that the TV had a really obvious box where it's brighter than the rest of the screen, I had put a white image on and you can clearly see it, and also the edge is dimmer than the center of the screen as well. I don't know why I'm having this issue but after some digging, I found out that I'm not the only one with this problem, so yeah I wouldn't recommend this product.Update:After a few months of owning this thing, for some reason the weird box magically disappeared? No idea what happened exactly, maybe software updates fixed it, maybe because I've been using it a bit more since then, but the thing that bothered me the most just disappears. I'm bumping this to 4 stars and not 5 simply because the uniformity is still kinda terrible, and it doesn't support the advertised 1440p 120hz res, otherwise I guess it's an ok buy now.

Great large-screen option, but not perfect
This review covers the 82" version of the Samsung Q6F QLED TV.Pros: big screen size ideal for big rooms, brilliant colors, backlight can be increased enough to compensate for daylight, movies and modern games look great in 1080p and 4k. HDMI Black level - low/auto options create darker blacks than older LED models (not as perfect as OLED screens, but a significant improvement over past LED screens)Con: Significant ghosting / image retention when dark subjects move quickly across pure white or very pale yellow or pink backgrounds as the frame/camera readjusts to track the subjects. This particular circumstance occurs quite rare ly in movies or modern games. However, retro games with simple pixel art graphics (NES, and some Super NES games for example) can display this phenomenon to a very distracting degree as traces/smudges remain behind for a few moments when the character/frame moves to a different position. A few examples of video where I have also noticed this was Planet Earth II when birds fly quickly across a very bright sky, or animals running fast across white snow as the camera follows them. Changing the HDMI Black level to "Normal" helps, but only a little.Considering the price of this TV, I can only recommend it as a less expensive option (funny enough!) considering its size. At this time, OLED TV alternatives coming close to this size (at 77") cost around CAN $9,000 when on sale.

    Q for Quality
Amazing TV, once you get all the picture settings that work for you personally in order , you won't ask yourself why you spent so much money

    Very nice TV
The box it came in had been dropped or something was dropped on it. The styrofoam at the top of the box was broken in half lengthwise, and the box was itself was well scrapped up, as a lot of couriered items out in the country here are. The TV appears not to have suffered any obvious damage though. I hope it stays that way.It has excellent sound for a flat TV, with close to natural bass, so I won't bother hooking it up to my sound system. The picture is very nice, although I can only speak for HD, not 4K. Very pleasant to watch in movie mode. I also made other adjustments to most of the picture settings, to suit myself. The controls are nicely intuitive, especially for someone who cares not to learn anything new. After 2 weeks, my only complaint is the voice recognition response time. While it does recognise voices pretty well, it takes a long time to respond, long enough that it is not much of a time saver. And it has limited things that can be done with it. Overall, I would say paying double what a low cost TV of the same size is, is worth the extra money. My previous TV cost $700, and used about $12,000 in cable services before it wore out. I will write again in 25 years to let people know if it lasted well.

    Absolutely love this TV
I love Samsung televisions, and this was no exception.Pros: The picture quality is unbelievable. The smart functions are quick and easy to use.The sound it great, even without a soundbar. The 4K feature is incredible, especially if you're a gamer.Cons: The standby mode that matches the wall doesn't do a great job of that, but it definitely does an okay job.We have had to unplug and plug it back in several times after the smart features malfunction or lock out- it seems to be a fairly common software issue. That said, it hasn't interfered with our usage very much in the overall use of the TV.

    Don't buy used!
Ok... never buy a tv from amazon warehouse! I bought this tv thinking that they checked it first before selling to make sure that the tv was working before they sold it... boy was I wrong! I open the box and set up the tv, turn it on.... a white screen comes on saying that it can't connect to mobile device please use remote... ok... so I put batteries in the remote... red light stays on, remote will not work... I phone Samsung and they tried everything to get the tv to get pass that white screen and tried to get the remote to sync with the tv. Nothing! I couldn't even use the tv. I was so frustrated so I phoned amazon and I really just wanted a tech to come over and fix it, I would have kept it and save me the hassle of having to pa ck the huge thing again and send it back. But nope, they just said to return it. Why sell something when they already knew it had a problem! And it looked like the tv was send back and bought, send back again and bouht again... etc etc. The box had different tapes on it like people kept returning it. Save your selves the headache and buy refurbished with geek squad certified refurbished stamp on it from Best Buy... you get a great deal and also a warranty for a year! That's what I did after. All amazon had to do was send a tech over as I'm sure it would have been easy, but I had to go through a headache just to be disappointed, package again and send it back.
